Musical neutral notes. This client was a beautiful exception to my rule of no neutrals for Christmas. Her home is designed in comfortable and quiet neutrals, and she needed her tree to be the same.
I delivered. The rich gray velvet, musical note ribbon, and touches of gold made the tree elegant.
So many details in this beautiful neutral tree. How many can you find?

No place like home for Christmas

This lovely home was a true joy to decorate for Christmas. We decorated from the front porch to the back porch and all the spaces in between. We decorated six trees and multiple areas with an amazing collection of Christmas decorations that the homeowner has collected for years.
This front porch was full of welcoming touches to invite friends and family into the home.

This trip down memory lane of homes that my team and I have decorated over the last few years is just as much fun for me as I hope it is for you. I want to give you ideas to decorate your home exactly as you have dreamed it to be. I hope every home is filled with beauty and wonder at Christmas. In this home, there were so many unique decorations that the homeowner had spent years collecting to really show off her personal style. I have never been in a home where the spirit of Christmas was more alive than this one. We heard so many stories of the items that were collected. It was truly a pleasure to decorate this beauty.

This 10′ beauty was a treasure of decorations. We kept pulling items out of the attic to decorate with and this tree had never had so many ornaments on it before but it turned out so beautifully.
We decorated every surface we could find in this home.
I think the back porch might actually be one of my favorite spots in a home to decorate for Christmas. This was one of the first ones that my team and I ever did and I was just thrilled with the outcome. She had so many beautiful pieces that made this space feel like a special place at Christmas. You could literally imagine yourself sitting out here on Christmas morning with a cup of coffee and a fire. (unless you live in Mississippi and it is then probably 90 degrees outside) I could also imagine spending evenings on this porch with the sounds of the pool in the background, a glass of wine and fire in the fireplace. Pure magic this must have been for them.
Do you see what I mean? Not a single inch of the space was left undone. It all felt warm and welcoming.

I have this thing with porches and Christmas

Another gorgeous home with a beautiful front porch and back porch. We did both for this home as well as the trees, mantels, and other areas.
This enchanting dining area of this back porch and that afternoon light was perfection. Could you imagine Christmas breakfast here? Wouldn’t that be fun?
The home with a gorgeous porch is surely going to have a gorgeous Christmas tree and this one did not disappoint. I think the whole point of this parade of Christmas homes is more about the dazzling effects created with subtle colors, metallics, and lust greens just proving that I can decorate a green tree as well as I do a flocked tree.

What is your favorite type of Christmas tree? Do you prefer a green tree or a flocked tree? Or do you prefer something different entirely? I would love to know. Share a comment and let’s discuss your favorite.
